Service Manager
(951) 696-5292

Mary Hunt is a native San Diegan born and raised, loves her city, and a proud GenX-er. Before meeting Ross, Mary was already active in financial services spending many years overseeing her family's real estate business with properties in Southern California and Central Kansas. Mary previously held her Real Estate Agent License during that time, and up until May of 2012, when it was no longer beneficial to our clients to continue to renew, she chose to let it go and focus more on the new generations of clients coming for help. She is currently a Registered Representative Assistant with LPL Financial. She holds her Series 7 and 63 securities registrations which are held through LPL Financial, and has experience in risk management, education planning, and has her life, disability, and long term care insurance licenses. She's particularly knowledgeable with college funding and in life and long-term care options that can help protect client's savings from the enormous costs of extended care.

Mary has a strong desire to help those GenX, GenY “Millennials,” and GenZ generation of adults. Many often have not been given the tools or knowledge to plan for their future, and are too often made to feel inadequate about their investing knowledge. They want someone to work with, not someone to sugar-coat the outlook, but what they need to do to reach their goals. They want a sounding board and partner to educate, clarify or explain, not to dictate or demean. They may not want to do everything online – but want to meet face to face, and have someone to understand how planning and investing is different for them than it was for their parents. And especially someone to treat them with respect, and meet them where they are in their level of knowledge, to help them into the future.

Mary currently acts as the Service Manager for the firm, wearing many hats while taking an active interest in our clients and making them feel special. "I appreciate how hard people work for their money," she says. "I believe that ‘wealth’ doesn’t just mean how much money you have; it means how rich your life is with love and family." What you put out into the world comes back to you, I believe and have a passion for helping people.

Ross and Mary work together; we mean we actually work together at, the same office - neither of us is working from a “home office” and firmly believe in the two heads are better than one theory. It’s good to have different approaches from different life experiences to bring to the table. We really do spend the majority of our waking hours together and love it.

Mary was extremely active in her boy's scouting activities along with Ross and her father (who earned his Eagle Scout rank over 50 years ago!) and now that the boys are out of high school, has the time to be able to focus more on helping them become and learn to be better adults. She enjoys riding her Burgman Scooter (her motorcycle that is “comfortable”) whenever possible, enjoying the beautiful Southern California weather, loves sewing (or at least trying to sew), building stuff – or figuring out how to re-engineer things, playing with the dogs, organizing and fixing stuff at home, loves all genres of music, and playing engineering style games on her phone and iPad. Most weekends are normally for non-work stuff, you’ve got to have some balance in life – or at least try.
